In 2003, Paulway Group, LLC, a management advisory services company, was launched. I have more than 30 years of experience in management at all levels that I utilize to help my clients improve their performance. I utilize my years of experience in global supply chain management and an extensive professional network to provide a wide array of services customized to specific clients’ needs. I led operational improvement initiatives that drove savings and accountability across organizations throughout career.
From senior leadership roles I executed identification and selection of process improvement and outsourcing initiatives across the entire spectrum of functions with direct accountability for success of initiatives. I have worked with fortune 100 companies in global retail, consumer products, beverage and multiple other manufacturing industries.
Before starting Paulway Group, I was vice president of transportation for The Home Depot. Prior to my role at The Home Depot, I was Vice President of Logistics for 7-Eleven, Inc. I also had a stint in the dot.com arena when I served as area vice president and general manager for Webvan Group, Inc. (www.webvan.com) where I led the launch of the internet retailer’s business in Chicago. Before Webvan, I served as senior vice president of J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. with responsibility for new business development, client relations and customer retention. During my career with J.B. Hunt, I also served as vice president of operations for the dedicated contract services division and region director and business development executive. I joined J.B. Hunt as the director of operations in Mexico leading the efforts to organize and direct start-up operations for the dedicated contract services division in Mexico. In addition, I served in senior management positions at North American Van Lines, Inc., and Burnham Service Corporation. My earlier career included roles of increasing responsibility for Ryder Integrated Logistics, McLean Trucking Company and Roadway Express, Inc.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, a Master’s of Business Administration degree from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and a Master’s of Biblical Counseling degree from Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, GA.
A native of Mobile, Alabama, I am active in community and civic activities. I served as an adjunct professor in Supply Chain Management at Albany State University and I am an advisor for the Supply Chain Forum at Tuskegee University. I currently serve as an adult Sunday school teacher; on the men’s ministry leadership team; missions lead team and on the pastor’s senior leadership team at One Heart Church in Norcross, GA.
