From leading a team of ten-year olds selling pies door to door when I was only ten myself, to completing a successful twenty-eight year career in the United States Air Force and retiring as a field grade officer, I’ve always had a knack for leading and a passion for helping people. I offer a workshop based on John’s book, “Everyone Communicates, Few Connect”, because I’ve witnessed how easy it is to be misunderstood, especially in the workplace. Additionally, I am a certified and skilled DiSC facilitator. I offer half and full-day workshops to help you answer the question, why is it so easy to work with some people and more challenging to work with others. During this workshop participants will receive a 20 page comprehensive report that will show you how you can have a great working relationship with the most difficult person in the office, even if that difficult person is you. See video under the "my content" tab.
Since retiring from the AF, I’ve held several senior leadership position in Federal and state government. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, and an MBA with emphasis in Leadership and Management. I am a past president of the Music City Toastmasters and a member of the National Speakers Association of Tennessee. I believe a practical program of goal-setting is an important element in personal development and therefore, I work with each of my coaching clients to set goals in the 6 major areas of life.
After reading John Maxwell’s books over the last 20 years, and participating in his teachings, I realized that his philosophy is in direct alignment with my own beliefs, and led me to join his team."
