About Shaun Morris

My mission - to empower 100K incredible women of color to find their voice and conquer life. Growing up, I was the youngest of twins to an 18-year-old single mother. While attending Garinger High School, which had one of the highest dropout rates in the Carolinas, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps 9 months before receiving my diploma. As a decorated Staff Sergeant, during my time in the Marines I learned invaluable lessons serving as an Ammunition Specialist at Camp Lejeune and as a Marine Security Guard in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. I became adept at breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand explanations, and developed a mission-centric mindset that I now apply to every interaction.

With over two decades of experience in leadership, sales, and business ownership, I’ve recently transitioned from a Mentorship role with a B2B sales team to pursue other business ventures. I am now partnered with the Maxwell Leadership Certified Team offering workshops, seminars, keynote speaking, and coaching to aid in personal and professional growth to individuals, organizations and companies worldwide. I am also pursuing a license in commercial land real estate. My collaborative approach fosters trust, support, and mutual respect, qualities that have been invaluable in mentoring many smart, mature, and inspiring women of color. Recognizing the gap between where they are and where they want to soar, I am determined to contribute to their journeys by first believing in their success and second, providing them with the strategies and insights that propelled my own growth.

Born and raised in Charlotte, NC, I am happily single, embracing each day as an opportunity to learn and grow and take new ground. In my free time I enjoy listening to soulful underground artists, playing chess, painting with acrylics, reading for personal growth, and hiking the trails of Crowders Mountain. I engage with people wherever I go from all walks of life – it's my chance to be curious, find common ground, and understand the value we both bring. I serve with Greater Temple Baptist Church, Elevation Matthews, Dream Center Charlotte, and Fields of Hope.

My greatest lesson has been Acceptance, and deciding to love anyway. My greatest victory so far is overcoming bitterness, which manifested as an incurable disease called Hyperthyroidism, without medical treatment or medication. And my most impactful teacher is Seth Godin, whose daily blog posts first illuminated my path, teaching me that consistency, over time, looks like brilliance.
