I founded The Wilkes Company, a strategic communications and public affairs consulting firm and have been serving clients since 1991.  I am a certified public speaker, trainer and executive coach on communication and leadership.

 My skills have been honed through over four decades as a journalist, writer, broadcaster and government relations-public policy advocate.  

Morris is a member of the Rotary Club of Lubbock where he has served in a variety of leadership positions including President. He currently serves as Chairman of the Texas Tech Alumni Association National Board of Directors and is a member of the Texas Tech University College of Media and Communication National Professional Advisory Board.

?He served President George W. Bush and the White House as a lead advance representative from 2001-2009.  During 1999, 2000 and 2004, Morris traveled the United States on the George W. Bush for President Campaign.

Morris was named an Outstanding Alumnus of the Texas Tech University College of Media and Communication. He also has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus of Leadership Lubbock.  In 2005, Cox Communications named him the Public Affairs Professional of the Year.  He is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International.
