John D. Marvin spent more than 30 years in the healthcare industry, 25 of them as President and CEO of a large, regionally based company out of Houston, Texas. Today, he leads The Marvin Group, a thriving online, eCommerce network distribution business with affiliates throughout the United States, New Zealand, and Australia.

Raised in a small town in western Kansas, John learned early that character shows up in the small, unglamorous moments long before it ever shows up on a stage — a conviction sharpened at sixteen, when a last-minute invitation landed him at Explo '72 in Dallas, a week that reshaped his understanding of purpose and calling.

John leads with a coach-not-boss mentality. "I always like to say no one works for me," he's fond of saying. "We all work together." That philosophy has shaped how he builds teams, mentors leaders, and grows a business rooted in relationships rather than hierarchy.

He is the author of The Life You're Meant to Live, a book that draws on scripture, personal failure, and the stories of figures like Susanna Wesley and Corrie ten Boom to make the case that identity — not circumstance — determines the life a person builds. He's a sought-after speaker and coach known for folksy wisdom paired with hard-won conviction.

John lives out his philosophy of 100% personal responsibility daily, waking each morning with the same declaration: "Fantastic. This is the best day of my life." He and his wife, Connie, share a life built on faith, family, and intentional growth.
