My passion for equipping and empowering others to live into their dreams led me to join the John Maxwell Team. Before joining the Team, I spent 20 years challenging students in the urban areas of the nation’s second largest school district to get a larger vision of themselves. I also mentored new teachers, facilitated staff development, coached colleagues, and designed curriculum.

I know, first-hand, the transformational power of engaging intentionally in a personal growth program. While a young adult, I lacked direction and focus. For a while, I spent my days sitting in a friend’s barber shop. One day I listened to a personal development program that challenged me to think differently about myself, and what was possible for me. I was 29, and raising a child alone. Wanting a better life for myself and my daughter, I entered the University of Southern California and graduated with a degree in psychology—making me the first college graduate in my family. I later went on to earn a master's degree in educational administration.

Applying and reflecting upon proven success principles was the catalyst for my transformation. It can be yours as well.
