My lifelong commitment to personal growth and leadership development, combined with a passion for helping others reach their goals, led me to join the John Maxwell Team. Prior to joining the team, I served for 38 years in Environmental Consulting, Design, and Construction, providing solutions for federal, municipal/utility, and private sector clients. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, both from West Virginia University, and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University. I have been a registered Professional Engineer for over 35 years, and am a registered Design Build Professional with the Design-Build Institute of America.
Throughout my career, I have served on literally hundreds of project delivery teams, including several regional and national award winning projects. And I have served in a wide variety of leadership roles, held numerous management positions, and served as Vice President in two major national engineering firms over the past 20 years.
Very early in my career, I was fortunate to serve with and for a few great leaders. Their example inspired me to become a student of leadership, devoted to lifelong learning and personal growth. I have found my greatest joy in serving others through helping them become better leaders.
My experience and observations over many years in multiple organizations and roles clearly confirms one of John’s most powerful Laws of Leadership – the Law of Process: Leadership Develops Daily, Not in a Day. This is equally true regarding personal growth. Each of us must develop and follow a structured and practical plan to achieve our desired goals. Consistent and properly focused effort over time unfailingly yields progress and compound results. Let’s get started today!
