About Candace A. Trass Crute

I served in the United States Air Force (USAF) for three decades, and performed duties in three separate career fields: Electro-mechanical communications and cryptographic systems technician; cardiopulmonary laboratory technician; and as the advisor to eight commanders for the morale and welfare of the members of their unit. Additionally, I served seven years as the advisor to the Air Force Surgeon General for the Cardiopulmonary Laboratory career field and the Critical Care Air Lift Team. Most importantly, I had the immense honor of leading, mentoring and serving thousands of Airmen. My dedication to excellence and service earned me the rank of Chief Master Sergeant—a rank reserved for the top 1% of the USAF enlisted force. I am proud and to be a rare 2-time recipient of the coveted USAF John L. Levitow Leadership award and numerous other leadership and achievement awards. After retiring from the Air Force in 2011, I became the sole caregiver for my 92-year old mother who suffers from dementia. I am a volunteer community-based and family mediator for Bexar County, Texas. I have been married for 35 years and am the mother of an adult daughter and teenaged son. I joined the John Maxwell Team because of their mission to add value to people. I feel my love of people, my deep desire to serve, and my vast experience, combined with the wisdom of Dr. John C. Maxwell make me uniquely qualified to help transform you and/or your team. Contact me (wherever you are in the world) for speaking, training, coaching, Maxwell DISC personality analysis, and “The Leadership Game” for adults and teens.
