As a Maxwell Leadership Certified Coach, Teacher, Trainer and Speaker, I can offer you workshops, seminars, keynote speaking, and coaching, aiding your personal and professional growth through study and practical application of John’s proven leadership methods. Working together, I will move you and/or your team or organization in the desired direction to reach your goals.
Currently I serve as the CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Cumberland Valley (ABC CVC). ABC CVC is a non-profit organization that comprises general contractors, sub-contractors, construction suppliers, and manufacturers. In addition, we operate the Barr Construction Institute, an independent entity that provides comprehensive 4-year apprenticeships and craft training programs to aspiring students in the construction trades.
I not only manage ABC CVC but I am also a Pennsylvania State Licensed Auctioneer and have been actively conducting auctions in the region for the past decade. Additionally, I am the driving force behind McCoy Leadership and Consulting, a firm that specializes in providing business consulting and leadership training. Our offerings include Maxwell Method DISC and John Maxwell Leadership training, empowering individuals and organizations to reach their full potential.
Before my role at ABC, I worked in the for-profit sector, overseeing concrete block plants across the US. I began my career as a forklift operator at Nitterhouse Masonry Products in Chambersburg, PA, but swiftly climbed the ranks to become a Plant Manager. Later, I accepted a position with Oldcastle Architectural Products, managing a plant south of Chicago. During my tenure at Oldcastle, I assumed the role of Operations Manager for the North-East US, which brought me back to the Mid-Atlantic region. Seeking further growth, I seized an opportunity at York Building Products, headquartered in York, PA, with plants spanning the tri-state area. During my time there, York Building experienced significant expansion, both through market share growth and strategic acquisitions, effectively doubling the size of the masonry division within a span of three years.
I have actively participated in various associations and served in multiple leadership roles on boards and committees. Recently, I made significant contributions to the education and technology committee of the National Concrete Masonry Association. Furthermore, I hold the position of President in the Mercersburg Area Community Band, act as Chair of the Western Maryland Workforce Development Board, and serve on The Staff Parish committee at the First United Methodist Church in Mercersburg.
Throughout my career, I have been responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including safety, sales, human relations, financial statements, capital building projects, budgetary processes, training, and marketing.
I am excited to explore how I can support your personal or corporate growth through consulting and leadership training. Together, let's unlock your full potential and achieve remarkable success!
