I’ve spent a career at this level, with my folks on the front line. Early in my career, I saw the disconnect that occurs when you become too far removed from the field so I’ve made it my mission to stay close, lead in all directions, and never remove myself from what’s being experienced on the front line. It’s allowed me to recruit and develop award winning sales people and teams. I’ve developed new team members to rock stars and new managers into true leaders. To senior leadership, I’ve been a voice of reason to the floor and a trusted source for ideas and inspirations. I’ve been and integral part in creating and executing many sales and operational strategies still used by teams of companies I haven’t worked with for years.
I practice and fully believe in servant leadership. In bringing value to others, regardless of level, you add value to yourself too. Because of that, I’ve been able to gain influence at all levels regardless of my position while maintaining the work/life balance I’ve needed to live a successful life in both places.
