Dr. Mary Segars is the Founder and CEO of Segars Consulting Group (SCG).  SCG is committed to providing entrepreneurs and businesswomen the needed tools to be the best leaders in corporate and personal environments.  She is a certified John Maxwell Speaker, Trainer and Coach. She has published two best-selling books; “Power Talk begins with Power Thought,” and “Wake up the Leader within You.”   

Dr. Segars conducts seminars, training sessions on Leadership Competencies and 

Development, Personal Growth and Development, Life Mapping for Success, and Motivational Assessment to name a few.  In addition, Dr. Segars is an international keynote speaker where she spoke at Women’s Leadership Forum in Bangkok, Thailand in 2019 and at the Women Economy Forum (WEF) in Cairo, Egypt in 2020.  Mary has been a virtual speaker at WEF Bangalore 2020 – Digital Summit since Covid-19.   

Dr. Segars had been named to the Professional Women Network International Advisory Board for 2017-2018.  

Mary retired early from General Motors after 25+ years of corporate experience.  She gained formal training in Human Resources Management, Communications, Executive Development Training, and Executive Coaching. Since her retirement in 2008, she utilized her abilities, skills, experience, and education to become a Certified Leadership Coach, working with entrepreneurs and businesswomen seeking to develop their leadership capabilities.  Dr. Mary’s down-to-earth and candid personality strengthens her relationship with her clients.  Dr. Segars had served on the Board of Directors for Detroit YWCA.
