I am a graduate of Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, and studied Clinical Pastoral Education at Palmetto Baptist Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. After years of ministry experience, I transitioned into the education field and now serve as a high school guidance counselor.

Along with my wife, we are owners of The Success Center, an award-winning tutoring center serving many students and families in our community. In addition to serving in my church, I am a volunteer with the Community Juvenile Arbitration Program with the Ninth Circuit Solicitor's Office. I serve on the Architectural Review Board for the City of Goose Creek, South Carolina.

I read my first John Maxwell book, Developing The Leader Within You, back in 1993 which ignited my transformational leadership journey. John's books down through the years have significantly influenced my life. I’ve now been writing on the topic of leadership in the form of four books, a weekly leadership column on my website, and as a contributor to various newspapers, business journals, and featured websites.
