Relishing the process of growth in my own life, and helping others to do the same at school, church, work, and in the community, from my preteen years forward, prompted me to join the John Maxwell Team.
Before joining the team in 2011, I served 23 years as a public school teacher and 24 years in ministry. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Elementary Education from Hunter College, City University of New York and a Master of Arts in Christian Education and a Master of Divinity in Religious Education from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
A retired teacher, I also enjoy serving as pastor at my church and traveling as a gospel singer. I am also author of The Power of Our Relationships Mining the Gold, and Nuggets of Gold. I cherish being mother and grandmother and was privileged to serve as caregiver to my parents in their final years.. Personally implementing the laws of leadership helps me balance the roles I serve effectively, continue to grow in my strengths and passions, and live with joy and peace within.
After more than a decade of studying, applying, and teaching leadership, this opportunity to work with John serving you is testimony to the power of applied leadership to produce experiences we would scarcely dare to dream.
Leadership is not position nor paycheck -- it’s process. Teachers and students, parents and children, employers and employees, church leaders, entrepreneurs, politicians, and artisans alike find the leadership development process is life-changing, and you will too.
Recent developments have kindled my interest in the US Constitution and citizenship. I'm excited to share, wth this generation and the rising generation, the privilege and responsibility of living out the liberies we enjoy in this nation, as we stand on the three legged supports of faith, citizenship, and leadership.
