I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and I hold a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a minor in religion from the University of West Georgia and Master of Education from Argosy University. As an educator I taught for 15 years in the private school sector, and I have over 30 plus years of ministerial experience. This experience includes musician, worship pastor, small groups pastor, care pastor, and executive pastor. At this point in my significance journey, I am passionate about all things life and leadership development. As your coach, I aim to create undeniable contrast in perspective, performance, and passion.

I decided to join the John Maxwell team because I was ready to take the next step in my leadership and personal growth. I heard about the team years ago, but I allowed obstacles to challenge my pursuit. However, that changed November 27, 2020. I was on a call with my Senior Program Advisor, Shelly Davis, and after introductions she said, “Darius, I see that you reached out to us last year…” That comment disturbed me because I immediately thought I could be further along in my process if I weren’t so concerned about how I would make it fit my schedule or budget! That day, I told Shelly that I would call her back on Monday, November 30 with intentions to join the team. I wasn’t sure how it would work out, but I had confidence that it would happen. Well, it happened, and it has been the best decision in this season of my life.

Traveling, exercise, bowling, movies and Sports Center are my “go to’s” for fun and relaxation. My greatest joy is serving the bride of my youth, Kenya (21 years) and my girls Jazlin and Kiersten.
