Clifton Johnson is a Certified John Maxwell Team Speaker, Coach, and Trainer who engages audiences with his messages on Leadership, Becoming a Person of Influence, and How to Be A Real Success.  

At the age of 17, Clifton left the family farm in Bay City, Texas to embark on his 20-year career with the United States Marines. Once in training, he found himself the tallest recruit and frequently assigned to lead his unit. Over his years of service and many promotions, Clifton learned to embrace his natural leadership and to enhance it with practice and education.

His military service was followed by a stellar career in Environmental Compliance and Refinery Operations. The management of hazardous waste materials in high-risk situations is a challenging role. In his industry, mistakes can mean lives lost, so Clifton excels in leading perfection. This is reflected in his exemplary record of zero-violation inspections and high safety scores.

Commended for his calm and studied approach to achieving the impossible, Clifton was often tapped to facilitate Leadership Training, speak on compliance, and motivate hundreds of employees working in some of the highest-risk conditions in the nation.   Encouraged by the impact his presentations had on others, Clifton began studying with the John Maxwell team and in 2018, received his certification as a Speaker, Coach, and Trainer.  

Today, Clifton speaks to leaders and associates across industries to create paths to better performance and more effective leadership. His down-to-earth, positive attitude is underscored by the discipline of a Marine who has lived his life in alignment to a strict code of ethics.
