I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO as the oldest of my nine siblings. Those two things made me who I am: a servant leader. Throughout my high school years, I immersed myself in the JROTC programs at the various schools I attended. I ultimately rose to be the top cadet in the city. This led me to wanting to pursue a career in the military. I also wanted to be the first person in my family to graduate from a four-year institution. I did both.
I am a graduate of The United States Military Academy at West Point. I obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Sociology with a track in Systems Engineering. I served active duty in The US Army as a Transportation Officer. I served as a Paratrooper in The 82nd AIRBORNE Divison at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. I am a father of one. My daughter is currently three years old.
Some of my awards include The Basic Officer Leadership Course Iron Man award, the Frances Hesselbein Servant Leader award, National Defense Service Medal, Global War of Teorrism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Basic Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, and German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency (Gold Standard).
