My name is Urgyen Rinchen Sim. I was born in Palembang, South Sumatera, in Indonesia to a middle-class family. My ancestors came from Xiamen in China. I started my "Business Journey" when I was just 16 years old. After completing my primary education, I attended universities in both Indonesia & Singapore. Following my graduation, I began working on a joint venture with an Insurance & Financial Services Company in Singapore and Indonesia. While working with this joint venture, I won several sales achievement awards. This success gave me the inspiration to start my own business in 2002, which continues to grow today. I am a very optimist person with focused goals and a clear vision for my future.
I am a Buddhist Tibetan follower. I received my Dharma & Tibetan name from The Lineage of Buddhism Vajrayana, Tibetan Nyingmapa Qinghai Palyul and was adopted as a Royal Tibetan blessed under The Holy Throne of H.H.Dalai Lama 14th.
I am an entrepreneur, but my true passion is sharing my knowledge and expertise with others. I am active in several social organizations such as the Lions Club. I love to read and have read many of the books written by Dr. John C. Maxwell. I have attended many of Dr. Maxwell’s seminars and workshops where I learned and practiced his leadership philosophies. He is one of my mentors and has been very inspirational in shaping my life.
On February 26th, 2011, I launched my first book in Indonesia titled The SERVER Leadership. The inspiration for this book came in large measure from the philosophies of Dr. Maxwell. I am honored and proud to be a member of The John Maxwell Team Founder's Circle.
