In our entire mentoring relationship and especially during video or audio conference calls, it is necessary and of utmost importance that we show respect to one another.

We all come from different backgrounds and our family, upbringing, language, culture, education, beliefs, religion, attitude, values, friends, environment, etc all shape our thinking and contribute to who we are. We need to therefore listen carefully and try our best to understand one another and where each is coming from.

Our rich diversity in fact makes for excellent learning and fresh perspectives.

You can be assured that whatever we share in our mentoring is simply for your consideration - we will not push our views; it is for you to evaluate and to accept or reject whatever we share. We seek your understanding and respect that we share out of our life experiences, all of which has made us who we are.

By the same token, we will not condone on our video/audio calls any who may not respect or who denigrate others, or who have an agenda to push.

Should anyone on our video or audio calls exhibit such inapproriate behavior, we will first try to moderate the discussion, failing which we will have to take steps to disconnect such persons from the call, depending on the severity of the disrespect shown to others.
