Mentors share of their rich life experiences in the hope that it would benefit younger ones. However, mentors also learn a lot from their mentees, making it a mutually beneficial relationship. So, just as you should carefully choose your mentors, be aware that mentors also choose who they are prepared to invest their time in, and would expect that there be trust and that all involved in the mentor-mentee relationship are able to share in confidence and thereafter keep confidence.
